Not all fishing spots are created equal...

The Cape Cod Canal is among the East Coast’s top striped bass fishing hotspots. Montauk, NY may just be the one fishing spot on Earth eclipsing the Cape Cod Canal in terms of productivity and popularity amongst shore bound anglers.

The Canal is one of only several spots across the striper coast where anglers casting from shore routinely tie into 20, 30, 40 and 50 plus pound striped bass.

Unfortunately there is an enormous learning curve in terms of pulling big stripers out of the Canal. Discovering the methods, tidal changes, and best spots often requires many years. Many anglers find targeting stripers at the Canal particularly frustrating, and quit before ever creating a chance to succeed.

From time to time it seems as if anybody who can cast in excess of 20 feet can hook a large fish at the Canal. In recent years these legendary blitzes have generally taken place throughout the spring. The striper fishing throughout these times can be fast and furious.

Yet for much of the year, any anglers hooking big stripers with any sort of consistency would be the guys concentrating on the correct Cape Cod Canal fishing spots at the right tide. Acquiring this knowledge normally takes many seasons of learning from mistakes in an effort to acquire.

The majority of hot spots support some type of bottom structure. Massive rips, pockets and boulder strewn peaks litter the full span of the Canal. A number of these spots support remarkable depth changes. In some areas the bottom will plummet 30 feet inside of a few yards.

There isn't any scarcity of productive spots along the Canal. I have a list of about 25 unique rips, holes and rocky peaks which I choose from when organizing a trip to the Canal. Having said that I’d be telling lies if I claimed that each one of those holes produce equally well. Undoubtedly a number of these spots fish better than all the others.

The magic formula to catching a lot of striped bass from the Canal lies in the fisherman's ability to uncover the very best fishing spots. The very best areas in the Canal commonly feature significant rips, holes, and rocky peaks which striped bass flock to similar to bees to honey. This particular guide shows you the precise locations of 10 of the best Cape Cod Canal fishing spots. Just as vital, the Ebook clearly shows which tides produce best at each and every spot.

It typically takes several years of experience to be able to unravel the Canal code and discover the spots that fish well and which spots don't. More often than not the difference between catching fish and not catching can be measured by only a few yards.

The Ebook features:

  • Accurate locations (to the yard) of the most productive fishing holes, rips and rocky peaks
